How We Started

We reside in Syracuse, New York and have met refugees who were resettled in Northside of Syracuse through Boaz computer class project. Since 2007, Boaz team has built relationships with refugees. Through the project, we were able to become aware of what they go through as newly-arrived new Americans.

Then we thought, ‘they are full of potentials,’ but because of language barrier and other factors, they have not been able to introduce their potentials and bring about influences to the community.

That is the reason we decided to “build the bridge,” a platform, which will give free rein to their potentials. We hope that our projects will bring about an impact on making the city of Syracuse a historic site because our projects highlight refugee history, talents and traditions who are Syracuse residents.
